April 27, 2023

GUELPH, CANADA, April 27, 2023 – Arrow Machine and Fabrication Group (AMFG) of Guelph, Ontario has announced the acquisition of Kenona Industries (Kenona), a Grand Rapids, Michigan based supplier of precision machined components to Tier 1 automotive and electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers.

The Kenona acquisition will form the foundation of Arrow’s new automotive group, helping to expand its global customer base and manufacturing footprint.

“We’re very excited about adding Kenona Industries to our roster of companies,” says Arrow President and CEO Mike Ritchie. “This move creates additional value for our customers by providing more machining solutions under one roof while helping us achieve our growth objectives.”

Founded in 1988, Kenona specializes in high-volume steering, powertrain, noise, vibration, harshness, battery tray and side rail components and exhaust assemblies for manufacturers such as Tenneco, Conti-Tech, Nexteer, Magna, YUSA, Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Freightliner and leading electric vehicle platforms. The company’s technical expertise and precision manufacturing methodologies accelerated its organic growth in a competitive international market.

Kenona is the fourth strategic acquisition made by Arrow since its inception in 2021. This latest addition further promotes the company’s strategy of partnering with leading operator-run machining and fabrication organizations to leverage their collective capabilities, solve customer problems, and develop deeper supply chain interactions.

The company is also excited to welcome Dan Groszkiewicz as the new division president for Kenona. Mr. Groszkiewicz built his career in the automotive industry with progressive leadership roles across multiple organizations. His most recent position was as General Manager of Magna Mirrors in Michigan before joining Kenona in February 2023.

“We’re proud to join the Arrow family,” says Mr. Groszkiewicz. “The synergies between our new partner companies and us will help transform our industry by creating better access to opportunities that further support our global OEM’s project goals.”
