June 28, 2023

GUELPH, CANADA, June 28, 2023 – Arrow Machine and Fabrication Group (AMFG) of Guelph, Ontario, continues its impressive growth trajectory with the acquisition of Baumeier Corporation, a leading Canadian machining and fabrication firm located in Cambridge, Ontario.

The newly-acquired company will be joining Arrow’s new Engineered Products group, dedicated to delivering design, engineering, and customized metal fabrication solutions to global OEMs.

“Bringing Baumeier on board is a significant win for our company,” says Arrow President and CEO Mike Ritchie. “The team at Baumeier shares our business values of providing world-class products of exceptional value. In addition, we now have more resources to help our customers meet their project objectives.”

Baumeier Corporation is the fifth operator-led machining and fabrication organization acquired by Arrow since launching in 2021. By leveraging the collective capabilities of their partner companies, Arrow creates deeper supply chain interactions that provide unparalleled support for their global customers’ metal machining and fabrication needs.

Founded in 1991, Baumeier has been a leading supplier of machining, metal fabrication, welding, waterjet cutting, and laser cutting services to top nuclear, imaging, and industrial OEMs. The firm’s dedication to supplying customers with ingenious technology-driven solutions has resulted in positive organic growth and an excellent industry reputation.

Arrow is also pleased to announce that David Sousa, General Manager at Baumeier, will head up this new site. Upon joining Baumeier in 2002 as a machine operator, David demonstrated exceptional competency and an ongoing readiness to learn every aspect of the business. An inclusive leader who creates a safe and supportive work environment that values diversity and encourages collaboration, innovation, and creativity among all team members, David Sousa became Baumeier’s General Manager in 2022.

“Our team is looking forward to all the opportunities that will come from being part of the Arrow family,” says David Sousa. “We couldn’t be more excited to find a partnership that shares our core values and is aligned with our goals to provide our customers with the best possible quality and service. This acquisition is a win/win situation for our clients as we can extend our offerings and provide a more comprehensive manufacturing solution for all their challenges.’’
